The BMW 5 is the newest addition to the BMW car family. Production began in 2020 and it is available in two body versions - sedan and estate. The vehicle has Germany or Austria as its country of origin and is built on the Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform. Gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines are available. The most powerful model M5 F90 Competition delivers 460 kW and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The most fuel-efficient variant is the 530e with a combined fuel consumption of 1.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 42 g/km. The trunk volume of the sedan is 530 l and 560 l for the estate. The model successfully passed the EURONCAP safety tests in 2017 and scored 5 out of 5.
