Mazda 3 has been produced since 2008 and is built on the Mazda BL platform. It is available in two body styles - a five-door hatchback and a sedan. The engine range includes both petrol and diesel power units, the most powerful of which, the MPS, produces 191 kW. The MPS version has the highest top speed of 250 km/h and the best 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.1 seconds, also belonging to the MPS. The most fuel-efficient engine is the 1.6 MZ-CD with a combined fuel consumption of 4.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 117 g/km. The sedan has a boot capacity of 430 l, the hatchback 340 l. Safety is confirmed by the 5 out of 5 rating from the EURONCAP test conducted in 2009.
