The Opel Insignia is available in three variants - sedan, liftback and estate. The car was first manufactured in 2008 and is produced in Germany, Russia and China. The model is based on the GM Epsilon II platform and offers a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. The most powerful model is the OPC 2.8 V6 Turbo ECOTEC with 239 kW, which reaches a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds. The most economical version, the 2.0 CDTI ECOTEC EcoFlex, consumes 4.3 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km. The sedan model has a boot capacity of 500 l, the liftback 530 l and the estate 540 l. The Opel Insignia underwent EURONCAP safety tests in 2009 and received a rating of 5 out of 5.
