The Volkswagen Golf is available in four body styles - three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, estate and MPV. The first generation of the car was produced in 2003 and can be manufactured in countries such as Germany or Belgium. The car is built on the Volkswagen Group A5 (PQ35) platform and offers a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. The most powerful model R32 produces 184 kW and the fastest version R32 can reach a speed of up to 250 km/h. The most economical variant 1.9 TDI has a fuel consumption of 5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 132 g/km. The luggage capacity of the three-door hatchback is around 350 l, the same for the five-door hatchback, 505 l for the estate and 395 l for the MPV. The Volkswagen Golf has passed the EURONCAP safety tests with a rating of 5 out of 5.
